My recipe and dish - there were many dishes I wanted to share, but I chose this one because sometimes you just want something quick and tasty (especially if you’re hungry!) Rose Harissa isn’t normally a product I would have picked from the shelf, but when I unwrapped my parcel, I was very intrigued. I love a sweet and salty combo, and at the time of my recipe nectarines were at their best season. The sweetness from the nectarines and the spices from the rose harissa worked really well, all brought together by some thick Greek yoghurt and crunchy toasted sourdough.

Q & a WITH ELLA MAY
How did you learn to cook?
My love for cooking started at around the age of 16, After stopping a very competitive sport in diving/gymnastics. I found myself with a lot more time and cooking became a huge interest of mine. Growing up and competing in a high-level sport meant food was more of a necessity rather than an interest. Over the years my love for food and cooking has really evolved and it’s something I look forward to every day.
What is your favourite type of food?
My favourite type of cuisine to cook is Italian! That would also be my favourite cuisine in general!!
What's your favourite dish to cook?
I would say my cooking style is very colourful and healthy; I like to use authentic, real, natural whole foods. I believe the closer it is to nature, the better! I also stand by the saying, “If you can’t read it or pronounce it – you probably shouldn’t eat it”.
What would be your last meal on earth?
LAST MEAL ON EARTH?! Very hard question, but I’d probably say a big sourdough pizza with plenty of mozzarella!
Step 0: Toast two slices of sourdough topped with thick Greek yoghurt, sliced nectarines few dollops of Rose Harissa fresh rocket, and drizzle honey with a pinch of salt – simple as!
