Chickpea and Orzo Stew with Balsamic Sun-Dried Tomato and Roasted Garlic Flavour Hack

This stew features the richness of Belazu Flavour Hacks Roasted Garlic and Balsamic Sun-Dried Tomato combined with orzo, tomatoes, and Belazu Gordo chickpeas. Perfect for a cosy dinner on a cold evening.
Ingredients

2 tbsps Belazu Early Harvest Olive Oil, plus extra to drizzle

1 Red onion, finely sliced

1 tbsp Flavour Hacks Roasted Garlic

2 tbsps Flavour Hacks Balsamic Sun-Dried Tomato

2 tsp Smoked paprika
-
200g Tinned chopped tomatoes

300ml Water
-
150g Orzo
-
1 jar Belazu Gordo Chickpeas
-
10g Dill, chopped
-
10g Parsley, chopped
-
50g Parmesan to garnish

Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Step 1: Heat a medium casserole dish and add the olive oil, followed by the sliced red onions. Cook for 10 minutes on low, stirring often to soften to avoid catching.
- Step 2: Add the Flavour Hacks Roasted Garlic and Flavour Hacks Balsamic Sun-Dried Tomato, along with the smoked paprika and stir.
- Step 3: Put the tinned tomatoes and water into the pot and bring up to a boil.
- Step 4: Add the orzo and the chickpeas, season with salt and pepper, and bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer, pop a lid on and simmer for 12 mins or until the orzo is cooked on low heat.
- Step 5: Once cooked, leave the lid on and allow to steam for 5 minutes.
- Step 6: To serve, scatter the chopped dill, parsley and parmesan and drizzle with some Belazu Early Harvest Olive Oil.
