Smoky Delight

£3.50

As part of our Fresh Enterprise program, students came to Belazu for a factory tour and business workshops, before learning how to create a product from inception to execution. At the end of the activities, the students created a recipe to fit within Belazu’s range of Mediterranean pastes. Most recently, Smokey Delight was created, with all profits going to the Belazu Foundation. A sweet and smoky paste with zesty preserved lemons and fresh herbs.

THE BELAZU FOUNDATION

In the Spring of 2015, we launched our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘The Journey Matters’ to provide fresh, goal-driven focus to our sustainability efforts. The initiative is based on three core pillars: Product, Planet and People.

It promotes positive change through sustainability and social engagement, values which have been embedded in all our processes and communication since 1991, the beginning of Belazu. To accomplish our CSR goals, we work together with our suppliers, customers and employees.

Furthermore, we established the Belazu Foundation in 2003 and formalised the Foundation as a registered charity in 2012. The primary aim of the charity is to support food and educational projects for children and young people in UK and the Mediterranean.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far, and we are conscious that we can always do more to contribute to a more sustainable future for all.
