THE BELAZU FOUNDATION

We started The Belazu Foundation in 2003 to give something back to the communities who grow the ingredients that have shaped our business. What began in Morocco has grown to include projects closer to home in West London.

Our focus is simple: food and education for children and families who need them most. That means supporting communities where access to nutritious food and learning is unequal, whether through rural isolation, financial hardship or special educational needs.

Each year, we commit 3% of our profits to projects that change lives. From school kitchens in London to preschools in the Atlas Mountains, we build long-term partnerships that put quality, education and nourishment front and centre.

Chef Amber Francis of Chefs In Schools

CHEFS IN SCHOOLS

Helping transform school food culture in London since 2019. We’ve supported their School-by-School programme in 12 schools and trained chefs through the Chef Educator Programme. Former participants have gone on to major achievements, including chef Amber Francis, who was crowned Champion of Champions on Great British Menu in 2025.

Summer Holiday Fun and Food Club

SCHOOL FOOD MATTERS

Since 2017, we’ve delivered projects like Fresh Enterprise, inspiring 120 children each year to consider careers in food, and the Holiday Fun and Food Club, which has provided nearly 5,000 lunches at Willow Tree Primary School, alongside workshops in gardening, cooking and sport.

Education projects in rural Morocco

ZAKOURA FOUNDATION

Our longest-standing partner. Since 2003, we’ve funded 15 school programmes in Morocco, impacting over 1,400 women and children through preschools, teacher training and community education sessions. Over 3 million dirhams (£235,000) donated so far, supporting the communities that grow our olives.
